Duck Race 2020 Rules and Regulations
The St. Vrain Rotary Club of Longmont will establish the race course. Ducks are to be launched in the St. Vrain River near Roger's Grove on Saturday, July 11, 2020, at 6:30pm as part of Longmont's Rhythm on the River Festival. If circumstances require the race to be delayed or postponed, it will be rescheduled at a time and place to be determined by the Club.
Each ticket has a coded number that corresponds to a duck placed in the river on the day of race. Ticket holders have no contact with the ducks. All ducks will be provided by the Club and shall remain the property of the Club. The Club reserves the right to manually maneuver ducks away from obstructions in order to expedite the race.
Prizes are awarded to the holders of tickets that correspond to winning ducks. Cash Prizes are awarded for the first three ducks that cross the finish line. Additional small non-cash Prizes may be available, awarded based on ducks that cross the finish line after the first three ducks. The Prize list is subject to change. The Club reserves the right, at its sole option, to substitute Prizes of comparable value. Other restrictions may apply.
Prize winners need not be present to win. Cash Prize winners will be announced at the Duck Race booth on the day of race. All winners will be notified by telephone, U.S. Mail, or email, based on the information on the winning ticket. Cash Prize winners must present their official race ticket and positive identification to the Club to receive their Prize. Prizes not claimed within 30 days will be forfeited. Prize winners consent to the promotional use of their names and likenesses without additional compensation.
Chances of winning depend on the total number of qualified tickets. Any and all taxes and similar fees are the sole responsibility of the winner.
Club members and their spouse are not eligible to win the Cash Prizes. Race judges are not eligible for any Prizes.
No purchase is necessary in order to enter or win. Must be 21 years or older to win. The ticket must have a complete name, and at least one of phone, address, or email address. The Club reserves the right to limit the number of duck tickets per individual.
Entrants are encouraged to make a $5 donation per duck adoption to benefit area organizations. One free ticket per person can be requested using a 3"x5" card with complete name, and at least one of phone, address, or email address to be presented in person with identification at Duck Headquarters by noon July 6, 2020.
This event is subject to all Federal, State, and local laws & regulations, and is void when prohibited by law. By entering, entrants release Club, its officers, and related entities from any and all liability with respect to Prizes, the Race, and the Festival.
All decisions and interpretations of rules and regulations will be made by the Club and are final.
